Beach Blanket Babylon - Notting Hill

Just a little post today, but I wanted to share one of my favourite places to go for a tipple (you know how I love those).

Venturing a little bit east from Ealing into Notting Hill is Beach Blanket Babylon (or BBB as it is also known), a wonderfully eccentric, decadent, renaissance inspired, 'swags & tails' bar and restaurant housed in a Georgian mansion house.

We snuggled in the cold outside under blankets and heaters having the most beautifully flavoured cocktails before heading inside to take in the decor.

Drinking in the lap of luxury is really an experience and the quality of the cocktails is superb - so after braving the cold we took the chill off cosying up next to the fire.

They also have a grotto downstairs so make sure you have a good nose when you visit.

Chin Chin!

PS if you want to go really East they have one in Shoreditch too

PPS I forgot to take a pic of the fireplace but here's one off 'tinternet to show the the crazy Versace-esque mouth!

  1. Love the look of those cocktails - I've only been to the BBB in East, not to the Notting Hill one yet.

Also, I wanted to let you know (and sorry for slightly spamming) but I'm a food blogger based nr Gunnersbury Park, where I also do supper clubs and pop up restaurants - do check out my blog, where there's also info on my pop ups :) www.alittlelusciousness.com
