Bank Holiday Bimbliing
Hello everybody, hope you've all been making the most of the lovely long weekends we've been having? I know I have, and on top of those and a proper holiday I had, I am holding my hands up to confess I have woefully neglected this blog in favour of wine and excess......obviously the only difference there is that it was in Morocco and not Ealing! Anyway I thought I'd share a little bimble we had last weekend as, although it ventures out of my usual stomping ground, it covers a lovely area that is a mere hop, skip and a jump away down to the Thames path. Starting off in Strand-on-the-Green (just down to the left of Kew Bridge on the north side), we kicked off the sunny journey in the best possible way...... with a gelato. It is quite an advanced ice cream manoeuvre eating a dripping cone on the move, but we all managed it with some skill! We walked for over a mile from here up to Chiswick Bridge and back again on the south side, taking in the beautiful wisteria...
